Bass Guitar, Vocals
Robin Ruscio is one of Colorado’s busiest electric and double bassists. He has performed with many notable Colorado jazz and pop artists, including Lannie Garrett, Ron Miles, Nelson Rangell, The U.S. Air Force Falconaires, Hazel Miller, and Cojunto De Colores. He has backed national tours of theatrical hits including “Wicked", “Spamalot", and "Billy Elliot” at the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Robin is passionate about sharing his love for the bass and is a busy private instructor. He holds a bachelor’s degree in jazz performance from the University of Denver, and also trained at the Henry Mancini Institute in Los Angeles, where he performed with artists including Diana Krall and Herbie Hancock. In addition to music, Robin holds a Master’s degree in counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and runs a private practice in Centennial that specializes in treating depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. His favorite song from the 80s is “Boys of Summer” because of the great lyrics and superb bass work by Timothy Egan. In his free time, Robin enjoys golf, personal fitness, and mindfulness practice -- all of which inform and influence his music and teaching.
